I was prompted to sign up to Sustain coaching after reading the daily emails that James sends out – (if you don’t get them yet – why not?!)
He just talks so much sense – genius!

Having struggled with my weight and body image for decades – it never fails to amaze me how I can be so desperately, desperately unhappy with how I feel about myself and what I see in the mirror – and YET – often hours/ or days later behave in so many ways that take me away from my goals and long term desires.

It is the connection and the link I needed between the extreme desire to change and the actual actions (or lack of) that I was taking.

We are all able to get 10/10 on a Monday morning/ lunchtime. But what happens when you have to start baking, going out, are sitting on the sofa watching television surrounded by snacker or are faced with a plate of delicious leftovers you have slaved over after feeding your kids . . . .

This is where I needed James voice to come in – to not allow me to wiggle out of it with flippant excuses/ reasons . .and to actually figure out workable solutions.

In the end, Sustains voice becomes your own internal dialogue – questioning your own actions/ decisions and hopefully catching you before you veer off and do something mindless/ stupid that you will regret.

Throughout my time with Sustain, I learnt a few small tricks that I can use in my day to day choices – but these small changes have had a big impact.

The biggest progress that I have made during my time with Sustain has been my sporting performance – as a result of my weight loss and increased training, I am running at a faster pace and for longer, I have started to be able to link my pull-ups and I completed an Obstacle race with the fewest amount of Burpee penalties ever!

If that’s not a result then I don’t know what is.
